| The need for training is more critical and has never been greater than it is in the warp-speed world of today, especially in the challenging arena of government procurement. Unprepared is unsuccessful. A very early class in proposal management training (that's not really true) is the artwork to the left, titled "A Classroom Scene," dated 1482. It is a miniature and is located in the Museo Civico Medievale in Bologna, Italy. (click on it to get a better view)

"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance."
Derek Bok (1930 - ), former President, Harvard University
Much research, and our experience, clearly makes the case that effective, useful training is a critical ingredient of employee development programs and, if done properly is an important employee retention tool. Conversely, if not done so that employees recognize its value, or if training budgets are treated as costs rather than investments and are the first budget items to be cut when the business cycle slows, increased employee turnover may be the result.
Training programs for employees must be well-designed and developed so that they are not perceived by employees as simply meeting some yearly education program attendance goals or look like another "flavor of the month."
Who was it that said, "If you think what a problem it will be if you train employees and they leave, think of the problem you'll have if you don't train them and they stay."

Training Development & Delivery
Our proven adult training process has been developed, tested and refined
over thirty years of training experience to thousands of students. A major key to our success is the rigorous Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) we employ. An internal team Continuous Improvement (CI) Analysis is conducted after every class, workshop,
seminar or presentation. We are delighted when an adult
student, having worked all day, describes our evening session as "fun,"
especially when the topic is government contracting, which can
mind-numbingly dull if not presented properly.
Speaking of government contracting training, companies that don't do any government procurement work may not consider the fact that their clients and customers do. By providing their own employees with basic-level government contracting training, those employees may be better equipped to communicate better with, and find new opportunities from, those clients and customers.
Adult training can only be accomplished by using skilled trainers and developers with real-world business and broad teaching experience to ensure optimum return of the critical training investment. Our consultants have a variety of broad training experience, and an example of our President, Bob Gahagan's, own experience includes:
-
Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), Mason Enterprise Center, George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia: Responding to Government RFPs (Request for Proposals), and Planning and Delivering Government Oral Presentations. We have trained over 800 working adult students in evening classes over the past six years and have consistently received student comments such as "Awesome information and presenter," "Great information! Very informative!", and "Interesting and fun" from the most recent class. [Editor comment: "Fun" is not a word usually associated with government RFPs.]
