Executive Retreats and Off-Site Strategy Meetings
The challenge: daily pressures of running the organization make it difficult or impossible to sit back, intelligently analyze current operations and problems and develop well-thought-out corrections with tactical and strategic perspective.
A proven approach: Remove key executives from the office, the interruptions, the phone calls, and the e-mail (well, not totally, but carefully managed) to allow focused, detailed attention to determine if perceived problems are correctly analyzed, and that solutions are thoughtfully developed.
But be aware: The organization must use a skilled, broadly and precisely experienced facilitator for the Off-Site. Otherwise, the event may wander in focus and be an overall waste of critical management time.
A solution: Identify and engage one or more facilitators with the deep domain knowledge described above to facilitate the Retreat/Off-Site Event. If such a resource is known to the organization, start the selection process there. If no such candidates are known, CCSI will welcome the opportunity to describe our capabilities. In addition, if asked, we will do our best to help companies identify other candidates if we are able.
