About our founder: Prior to founding CCSI, Bob spent twenty-five years with the IBM Corporation before leaving voluntarily to found CCSI. Since founding CCSI, his mission and goal is to "pay forward" whenever possible the many things learned from a career with great people. In addition to accomplishments outlined previously, he's:
- Recognized as a skilled trainer, coach, mentor and counselor
- Delivered over 2000 student hours of procurement-related technical and communication training, and continues to provide such services.
- Provided assistance to over 1000 early-stage and emerging small companies in areas of government contracting basics & strategies, marketing & branding planning, and communication and networking strategies as a procurement counselor at a government & university co-sponsored organization in northern Virginia.
- Been selected as invited speaker at local, national, and international conferences discussing such topics as the US government procurement process, how to develop oral presentations for the government, and the challenges involved in hiring for proposal organizations.
- Participated as panelist and presenter at venues such as a two-day conference on "Doing Business with the US Government", sponsored by the Korean government in Seoul, Korea, for 120 small and medium Korean companies. (this one included simultaneous language translation, which I'd never encountered before that.).
At IBM, he managed and supported bid efforts that were awarded more than $3.5B in government contract awards. He also was part of a 12-person "tiger team" that was responsible to develop the initial customer service & product support strategy for the IBM Personal Computer. He also co-created the first 5-Year Strategic Plan to manage a $500M inventory program at a 750-employee national parts logistics center.
