SEWP is a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) offering a vast selection and wide range of advanced technology computers and servers along with peripherals, network equipment, storage devices, software and other IT products and related product solutions. SEWP serves all Federal Agencies and their authorized contractors. From pre-order to post-order, SEWP gives customers the support they need through online tools and personal attention.
Like its predecessors, SEWP V is expected to be a fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multi-award contract featuring high-end IT product solutions, computers, peripherals and more.
Instructions for Interested Parties:
As part of the acquisition process for the follow-on to SEWP IV, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) will be conducting market research through one-on-one interviews with interested companies. The purpose of these interviews is to give industry an opportunity to provide the Government with the latest information on current and up-coming IT products and trends and associated procurement topics. There will be 60 one-on-one interviews during the weeks of July 9 and July 23. Appointments will be scheduled for no more than 45 minutes each, on a space available basis.
Interested parties in this process should register at the SEWP V Registration Website https://www.sewp.nasa.gov/registration , beginning 4:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) on April 30, 2012. Note that registration is not required to participate in any upcoming SEWP V activities except for those parties interested in participating in the market research one-on-one meetings. Anyone from the public or private sector who would like to receive e-mail updates concerning the SEWP V activities, may register to be part of the email list. Registrations will not be accepted prior to that date and time. On-line registration at this site is the only acceptable means of registering. Written responses, e-mails, or telephone calls are not acceptable for registration purposes. The SEWP Program Office will contact interested parties to schedule specific dates and times for appointments. No further interviews will be scheduled after all available appointments (60 in total) have been filled. There will be no exceptions.
NASA is requesting vendors limit their participants to three people for the interviews. The Government will respond, to the greatest extent possible, to written comments and questions submitted in advance of the interviews; however, vendors are encouraged to use the one-on-one interview time to showcase technology and/or IT acquisition topics as listed below. Each interview (including responses to questions and comments) will be limited to 45 minutes, and vendors should plan accordingly. Please submit your written comments, along with SEWP V specific questions electronically to sewp5@sewp.nasa.gov at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled interview. Only comments and questions submitted at least 48 hours in advance will be addressed at the interviews.
Please note that the one-on-one sessions have no bearing on any upcoming proposal and evaluation process and therefore company capability statements should be limited to no more than one page. The purpose of these meetings is for Industry to provide Government with insight into one or more of the following areas:
- New Technology Products and Anticipated IT Trends - Cloud Computing including Acquisition Issues and FEDRAMP Certification - Small Business Capabilities including Reseller and Manufacturer Roles for Small Business in IT Product Acquisition - Supply Chain Management including Mitigating Risks for Counterfeit and Tainted Products - Other topics related either to upcoming technology or IT Acquisition concerns
While the time available for the presentation portion of this activity is limited, there will be further opportunities for all interested parties to provide feedback and comments as the process for SEWP V continues.
SEWP V activities will be announced as information becomes available through FedBizOpps.gov and other appropriate mechanisms. Individuals registering at the NASA SEWP V registration page, even if they are not participating in the upcoming industry presentations, will automatically be notified via e-mail of all future events and milestones.

So What?
So, you've got one chance and 45 minutes to (maybe) get to the dance.
We can't guarantee success such as other CCSI clients have experienced, but we can and will prepare and coach your (up to three person) team so you optimize every minute of your time in front of the government.
Here's just a sample of how we've helped companies of all sizes to develop and deliver winning presentations.
- Our CCSI president was contacted by a local 8a company with only two days notice to prepare, practice and coach their five-person team for a three-hour government oral presentation.
- He also was selected to accompany a Service-disabled Veteran-owned small company (SDVOSB) to a New Mexico location to develop message and content, conduct individual and team feedback, and coach the team, which was made up of industry-renowned experts, for a critical technology-focused presentation.
- He also was selected by another proposal consulting company to help an incumbent contractor win a $25M recompete contract award.

And some more Project thumbnails:
|
| Support Area: Proposal Management (S/C)
Background: Company was incumbent on a government agency five-year contract which was coming to completion and was being recompeted. The program manager and eight key staff personnel had worked the contract for the prior five years, had the information and agency knowledge required to ensure a precise and powerful proposal, but had no experience in the proposal process.
Support to the Client: Just-in-time proposal training was provided for these individuals. This was paramount to their understanding of the criticality of clearly and precisely describing and including their insight and experience in the company's proposal response to the agency requirements as stated in the RFP.
Success Outcome: The company was awarded the recompeted contract, helped greatly by the excellent contribution of the PM and key staff to the proposal.
Benefit of CCSI support: The PM commented that she was "delighted to know where she and her team would be working for the next five years," and that "their success was largely the result of CCSI's leadership of the proposal."

| The $25M tie |

|
Support Area: Oral Presentation Coach (S/C)
Background: Our president was coaching a team from a company (later acquired by Lockheed Martin) for a critical oral presentation in response to a government RFP solicitation. The presentation was scheduled for the following morning. The night before the presentation, at Bob's suggestion, he and the team were staying in a hotel within walking distance of the government site so he could coordinate last-minute preparations and relaxation suggestions, and to avoid early morning commuting or other problems. Being a believer in Murphy's Law, he threw some extra shirts and ties into his suitcase....just in case. As it turned out, one of the team presenters forgot to bring a tie. Bob loaned the team member a tie (see photo) which the person wore to the presentation the next morning.
Support to the Client: Provide individual and team coaching, practice coordination, logistics planning, and Q&A strategy development
Success Outcome: the company won the $25M contract, based, they were told by the government representatives, on the quality of the team's CCSI-coached presentation.
Benefit of CCSI Support: Company executive recognized CCSI professionalism, expertise, and planning to successful completion in a very compressed timeframe.
|
| Support Area: Conduct Executive Off-site Strategy Meeting
Background: This small company had grown to approximately $12M in revenues, almost all from contracts from a government agency where all of the senior executive staff had spent their first career. However, the company wanted to grow to the next level, but was not very experienced in the overall government contracting process. They selected CCSI to conduct a Strategic Planning meeting with the executives who, it became clear, was the company proposal team.
Support to the Client: CCSI conducted and facilitated the meeting which included an in-depth tutorial of the government process and presented alternative suggestions as to how they might grow. These included expanding the proposal team so executives could better focus on their primary responsibilities, recruiting suggestions, and physical and organization changes.
Success Outcome: Executives indicated that meeting was extrememly beneficial and provided them with information and ideas that were new to them and on which they could proceed forward with increased forcus and optimism.
Benefit of CCSI Support: Prior to completion of off-site event, executives took the opportunity to suggest tentative future bidding ideas and requested feedback from CCSI facilitator.
